Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth are the last four molars that typically emerge in the late teens or early twenties. If they don’t have enough space to grow in properly, they can cause a range of dental problems, including crowding, impaction, infection, decay, and gum disease.

Wisdom teeth removal is a common procedure to remove one or more wisdom teeth. Dr. Amit Joshi, a board-certified prosthodontist and implantologist in Aurangabad, India, is experienced in performing wisdom teeth removal procedures.

The procedure typically involves numbing the area with a local anesthetic or providing conscious sedation. Dr. Joshi then makes an incision in the gum tissue to access the tooth and removes it from its socket in the jawbone. In some cases, the tooth may need to be cut into smaller pieces.

After the tooth is removed, the area is cleaned and sutured closed. Dr. Joshi then gives the patient instructions for post-operative care and pain management.

The recovery period after wisdom teeth removal can vary, but typically involves a few days of swelling, discomfort, and limited activities. It is important to follow Dr. Joshi’s instructions for aftercare to promote healing.
